    Crucial M4 256GB SSD under 1gb/$1 - $250

So tempting, could finally fit lots of game installs on an SSD. Wonder if they'll keep dropping? This is lowest I've ever seen it. Not even on sale either.

    Same with their 128GB M4 SSD - $125

They aren't the fastest anymore, but damn those prices are so tempting!

Buy.com has a terrible return policy. I wouldn't buy anything there.

    Re: Crucial M4 256GB SSD under 1gb/$1 - $250

I have been keeping my eye on these for a while, the only thing that is keeping me from buying a SSD is the fact that my motherboard is only SATA2. I don't want to buy one of those if I am going to get a bottleneck and it not reach it's max performance. That being said, there are other options like using the PCIE bus SSD cards like the OCZ Revodrive. Right now I want a real good excuse to upgrade my motherboard and CPU but honestly for the cost I would only get maybe a 10% in overall performance and I have to be smarter with my money in today's world.

Still a solid deal. SSDs have deals all the time that put them at $1 per 1GB or less.
