You start the game fighting alongside some king as he goes to reclaim his ******* children from some rebels. You don’t know any of the characters. You don’t know the kingdoms and the different powers. And you don’t know why Geralt should care about any of the people around him. When this king gets assassinated you’re supposed to instinctually know just how big of a deal it really is. The game

you that redheaded Triss Merigold is important to Geralt, but I never felt any big connection between them because it never showed me their bond.

Well, do they actually do any background stuff for people who haven't played the first game? If you're playing it on the 360, they need to include a lot of backstory to catch people up with the story so far.

It's called play the first game. There is a reason why it's a sequel.

You literally can't play the first one if all you have is a 360. I don't have a problem with the complaint if he's talking about the 360 version. You can't just say 360 gamers should just go play the first one on PC -- that's ridiculous.

Just like how I refuse to buy paper back anymore and digital only when it comes to books... Yet not all the books I want are in digital format and sometimes previous books in a series are not available in digital. Don't buy it.

If you guys played the W2 you would find out there is back story as you play the game. I also agree that there should be back story in sequels since its logical.

Every game does it and so does W2..
