    Re: HDD Crisis Was Fake

Skimming through some work emails I came across one email that was related to Thailand floods. Our desktop/laptop orders started taking a lot longer to receive (a while ago now), and apparently it was blamed on the floods.

Now that I've bought and used an ssd drive for a while it's hard to go back with the slower access times.

just bought 2x2TB drives for a NAS... painful seeing old comments in shops saying "bought this on offer for £60!" and its £95 now. and with shorter warranties, too.

[Seagate jumped at the opportunity and snatched Samsung’s hard rive division for almost 2 billion dollars back in April 2011.]

yep, and good luck finding firmware for them on seagates site.

2TB+ SSD? Some of us need more than 120GB for storage.

10 years ago, maybe. Now you don't need to download unless you want Blu-ray quality
