I think you're the first person here to talk about it, lol. I still have my x-Fi Titanium from 2008, so far it seems to do the job. I was thinking about Recon3D but let me know how it is once you have it!
The limit of 5.1 and it just being an old chip rebranded put me off.

Although it sound like the same Quad core tech, is it the same architecture?
I had it since early this month
I got it to replace my Auzentech Bravura I thnk it was?
the pci E version
well it was like giving sounds of reverberations over and over kind of like dubstep but over and over kind of like probably what people in hell are listening to on no repeat
it's not the drivers cause it happens even at bios
I changed it and it's fixed well this sound card put my Klipsch Promedia 5.1 Ultra into 3D mode
without the settings of max surround max crystalizer and the v shape of the EQ that I like it doesn't sound 3D
games are really really 3D with it

So I got the card today and installed it. First impressions.
1) Creative software sucks donkey nuts. The control panel takes 2 minutes to load and when it does you can fiddle with the features in the tab that is selected. If you want to change the selected item it freezes longer than I have patience for, so I kill the process.
2) My reference song is Stevie Ray Vaughn's cover of little wing. I have a 128 Kbps mp3 version. I am hearing details I never heard before on my Sennheiser HD 435 headphones. I'm picking up the buzz of the guitar amp.
3) Everyday windows sounds are more vibrant and colourful. (not cheesy either)
4) The newest game I have is Unreal Tournament 3 but again it sounds great with a fuller sound over all with much more detail.
5) Star Trek on Blu-Ray sounds great as well. Much more detail in the environmental sound.
Previous card was an Audigy 4
So 4 on 5 for sound quality
and 2 on 5 for software
I will probably uninstall all the crap and just leave the drivers installed.
Haha, damn you guys! I just ordered the cheap version from Amazon it was $3 off and free shipping. I was thinking of the good old Audigy days and how the audigy 2 was so much better than the original. I've been using onboard sound since Vista came out.
the 3D is another world
if Soundblaster seem to make this tech for home theater recievers they would sell all of them
