Digital and analog switching on Monitors?

I want to know if it is possible to force digital input all the time on LCD monitors.

Example: The computer starts up and the monitor flips back and forth detecting analog or digital connection. By the time I see a screen I am at the login prompt in Windows or Linux depending on which I have set as default in grub.

I would really like to have the monitor just stay on digital input (dvi) so I could actually have a chance to see grub without setting a 60 second delay timer to the boot up process.

I have a Samsung Syncmaster P2770FH. Who knows maybe I will just buy a new one if I don't have to wait to see the screen on a different one.

Look for "Auto Source" in the menu. On my Samsung monitor I am able to set that to manual so it doesn't switch unless I tell it to by hitting the source button.

Well, guess I need to read the manuals a bit more often.

But yes, after a little digging I found that option, set it to manual and rebooted. I was finally able to see my bios screen and the OS startup.
    Thanks for the tip.
