    What is the best (free) software for creating DVDs out of all types of video file ?

    I would probably say DVD Flick. Get's the job done pretty well for being free.

    If you did opt for a paid software, I would recommend ConvertXtoDVD.

    Agreed on both. Both are very good, Convertx being a bit faster and better but you need to pay to use it.
