I'm thinking either a 570, they seem to be a good price right now, also its not too much for this old system. Should I wait for the next gen, like 660 or 670?

I think you should wait for the 660/670. Don't know when thay are comming though.
Edit: Just looking around the net it seams like May sometime.

That's not too bad, I can wait that long, no problem.
Also, I haven't really considered, but I should probably get something with 2GB VRAM at least. I'd read that a few games will take more than 1.2GB that the 570 offers anyways.
I agree that you can't go wrong waiting for the 660/670 cards. I thought i'd also add that i have an i5 750 @4.0 as well, and have had a gtx 570 since launch, and it has been flawless for me. Great card for 1080P gaming, really has no problem with any game currently out.
Isn't the 7870 a little better than the 570? Also comes with 2GB and in the same price target area.
Will be interesting to see how the 660 compares. CUDA's are cut in half, TMUs are cut in half and ROPS drop down to 24. I hope that it does well like the 680.
It might come out in May, but due to issues at TMSC it might be a while until these are readily available. Won't really know until launch though.
The 570 seems be dropping pretty quick, I found one on Tigerdirect for $289 and a $20 MIR. The cheapest I can find a 7870 is $349.
I'll definitely wait to see what nvidia has coming out, maybe the 670 will be around the $350 mark and best the 7870.
