3DMark11 compatible with Windows 8?

Does everything work properly? Thinking about building a Windows 8 play system.

Anytime I have switched directly to a new OS it has had disastrous consequences on my gaming experiences... Now I wait until SP 1.

Officially it is not yet supported. Win 8 is still beta.

SystemInfo has a known issue that is scheduled to be fixed in the next couple of weeks, after that it should work but officially there won't be support it until Win 8 RTM version (="gold") is out and we have verified everything.

Note also that video drivers on Win 8 are still just a tad beta as well, so your experience will vary based on your hardware config.

That's cool. Just building something to play around with Win 8. So it doesn't work at all right now until it's fixed in a couple of weeks?

the newer benches work just fine for me on win8. 3dm06 and below are not fond of 8 but vantage and 11 work just fine for me. In fact, steam and all my games run fine with win8 and I am getting better frame rates as well. COD3, Dirt3, bad company and any others I have installed work fine. I even installed Airborne(disk) and it plays sweet on 8.
