As there haven't been any official servers for months now(and I don't expect them to return) and as the list of available servers is small and varies very often, I have decided to setup one my self on my own homeserver to see how it works. After that I intend to set it all up on some "hosted" server.
Following the official documents don't realy help as it's missing vital information like portforwarding range(27015-27017) etc. My "Bunny" server is now up and running but somehow it's not forwarding stats to the stats servers. When registering my server I used my public IP-Adress, but as shown below, I need to use my "internal" address to get the SH-server working.
There is a sh_server_cfg.txt showing the following. However if I use the public IP address the sh-server won't start.Code:// This file was generated by sh_server_gui.exe. // Please prefer editing with the GUI. ip_address "192.168.178.100" port 27015 bandwidth_limit_kbps 2560 server_mode "public_no_vac_server" server_name "Lego_Bunny's #1 // Skirmish / 30min / All maps" ... server_registration_key "8F7SELXYU44FBZYRLCHS1TYTZ1A0P2V50VABHD4TKDXA1" ...
Code:server_name "unnamed" server_message "" max_players 32 // Set ip_address to your correct public IP-address if out wan't to run a registered server. // Use 0.0.0.0 to just use any available IP-address (and run a non-registered server). ip_address "0.0.0.0" port 27015
Does anybody have an idea why my stats don't get uploaded?
