so i just tried firing up chrome earlier today again, and still no love. funny thing, i tried clicking on "view information about certificates" which should go to support.google.com (or something like that) and i get a certificate error [surrender]
I'd backup any information such as bookmarks, then uninstall and delete anything to do with Chrome under AppData folders.
