I'm not a fan of multi-gpu setups, a single card has the potential for less issues and more consistent performance.

What resolution do you game at fella?

Regardless, I'd personally opt for a GTX 680. It's fast, efficient, and has enough features to make an AMD fan wet. And as iceman said, single cards inherently have less issues.

I'd go with the GTX 680 in that situation, and you could get another later if you wanted/needed for a surround setup or 2560x1600 monitor too.

i'm currently on xfire 6950 and a 23" 1080p display. the only game i play is bf3 with 8x af and 4x aa and it drops below 40 fps when it gets heavy.
