WANTED: Toshiba Satellite recovery disc

Guys,

I'm in need of a recovery disc for a Toshiba Satellite L30-113 laptop. If you have one of these kicking around I would be gratefull for a lone of it or even buy it from you. I can go and buy one from Toshiba but at £30, I don't think the laptop is worth it. The recovery partition is intact and I would rather restore it first before going down the route of buying a new OS for it. If you can help please P.M. me or just reply.

Recovery partition is intact? You can't boot to it? With some partition and bootloader hacks you can get it to boot. Boot into a Linux environment, delete other partitions, set recovery partition Active, run some MBR/bootloader fix tools. I managed to restore a HP after someone installed a new OS over the original Windows partition doing that.

Failing that, you should have the license key underneath unless it's rubbed off. Toshiba will argue that MS force them to pay every time they give out recovery disks so you won't get them free from Toshiba. Only other thing after that is find someone with same laptop and clone it.

This model has no access to the boot partician via F8 key 0(zero) key and other forms of modern recovery systems, yes it's that old. I would rather just put a recovery disc in, they are supplied with new pc's and seeing as they produced thousand of these disc's there must be one kicking round someone junk draw.

Type Toshiba Satellite recovery torrent in google. Frist hit and ones after look promising, get yourself a copy of uTorrent.

I'll check at my work, we have many recovery discs for all types of models. Mostly Canadian ones though. I'll post back tomorrow once I find out.

So we don't have any L30, looks like that's UK model only. The CAD equivalent looks to be either an A100 or A200m I have recovery discs for several variations of those, but I don't think they'll work. Unless you think they might or know a way.

I just spent ages googling for you. From what I can see the recovery cd is only a way to access the partition and does not hold the recovery itself. I would therefore think that any recovery cd for toshiba that you can download would work?
