The way I take it is they are all carriers. The bites, while they can infect you, really just poison and kill you. Those who have made it this far alive are really ripe to turn, because the virus has gotten where it needs to go, which is how shane did so quickly. Maybe the bite counteracts the speed after death at which one turns, and those dying of other causes turn quicker than bite victims. But last night was not a dream. Those demon faces/eyes/visions was the infection taking over shane.

Ok then what were they gonna "check" by walking right up to them? They already knew he was a walker and he was shot in the head. It just all felt like they didn't have time to properly edit the video before release

Darryl has been the one to point it out each time. Doubt darryl if you wish, but I have a feeling he knows what he is talking about. Maybe there will be some fuzzy flashback scene next week where Shane and the hostage are attacked by zombies and we see them both get bitten, but barring that or shane intentionally infecting them both somehow... it will be that they all are already infected.

At the end of Series 1 the scientist whispered something in Ricks' ear. I always thought (assumed) that he told him that everyone is infected and that as soon as someone dies they will come back.
Though I thought it'd be either that or that Laurie is pregnant. Also a shame that Carl's one shot attracted just about every zombie in the forest.

There was a previous shot as well, when they started fighting before the *GOD YES FINALLY* happened.

The real shame is there is only 1 more episode left for the season.

But that will be long forgotten once Game of Thrones kicks back up April 1st. (can't wait can't wait can't wait)

Really?! Quite a weak season altogether. I think they spent too long on that farm and hope that they move on in the next episode.

One thing I am wondering is why, in the first ep of season 1 the military was killing the uninfected as well at the hospital. It seems to me they knew all were infected at that point. It would also explain why it spread so rapidly at the start. anyone who died of natual causes after it all started accelerated the disaster. that started it all and then those that rose from the dead bit others compounding the problem.

Hmm good idea? I just put their actions to being trigger happy in a critical situation where all 'potentially' infected would be taken?
People with attack wound would end up in the hospital thus risking every person in the building, so i saw the corse of action as being a heavy handed way of stopping any potential infection leaving there by offing them all?

Or they didn't know what they were dealing with and 'killed' everyone because they were terrified of infections that they feared may have been passed on?

I stopped watching it about half way through the first series, with an occasional look in.

Maybe shane was bit by a zombie when he was stuck in the coach....

Also how do they get so much blood on them and not become infected? In real life I would have thought the blood would absorb through the skin and infect them.
