Finally plunged in and gotten a new rig! @:D

G'day onions!, yea.. can't wait for ivy bridge, so gotten a new rig to replace my e8400 rig.

    I gotta say, the performance its pretty awesome from e8400 + GTX560ti to i5 2500K + GTX560ti.

Tbh, i didn't really expect much from e8400 to i5 2500k, considering there are numbers of ppl stating that not much differences.

I guess ppl also confuse with cores and bandwidths of processors, as I noticed most benchmark websites disable their number of cores as example, which i don't think its the correct way to do so.. it's like saying i7 disabled to 2cores it's equivalent of c2d... ..well thats my noob opinion.

And this really shows my e8400 really bottlenecking my GTX560ti as I can finally play BF3 on ultra settings, and full physx enabled on Batman Arkham City.

Here's my new rig specs :-
    -------------------------
    1. Processor: INTEL I5 2500K
    2. Memory: CORSAIR VENGEANCE CL9 8GB
    3. Videocard: ASUS GTX560TI TOP EDITION
    4. Mobo: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
    5. Psu: CORSAIR HX620
    6. Chassis: COUGAR EVOLUTION

    And here's some pics :-

My first fully match color (well kinda) rig

Much better cable management than my cm690

I really like this chassis, especially with it's top ez swap hdd.

The side-panel transparent look really good, very clear compared to my cm690. And it comes with dust-filter for the side fan.

Don't really fancy the bright "evolution" wordings on the side tho..

And here's my full gaming rig setup.

    Cheers [thumbup]

Some games like BF3 which support multi threading will see an improvement going to quads.

HAHA and you believed them? This made me laugh out loud, no kidding. Anyways, congrats on your upgrade. It's time to start pushing that chip - 4.5Ghz would be a nice start. [yes]

Not to say i believe them, i have my doubts on those ppl/benchmark sites.

That's why i better find out myself, and good gosh, they were so wrong

Those auto-o/c bios shld be a good start right?.. for o/c.

Ok I wasnt really mocking him I was just laughing about the funny use of english.

If the OP can speak 5 languages then fair play to him because I can only speak english.[thumbup]

Leave everything at default except vcore which you should set to 1.3-1.35V at 45x100=4500Mhz. With these chips memory speed is not important, just set it to whatever is printed on the sticker, same goes for memory voltage.
