I just don't understand why Bioware would put a talentless fan-girl in charge of two of their hugest properties. [huh]
As far as I know she isn't in charge, but she does write most of the romance elements. Some of the none romance stuff she wrote in DA:O was actually pretty decent. But in general the writing standard is falling, too much weight is being placed on romance, and gaining a wider audience which in turn makes the dialogue trees a minefield where ever character is bi sexual, and an anal battering is always on the cards.
Then you have the combat, they are just throwing in new elements and not making them work correctly, how many things are they going to make the same button do to make it less 'challenging'? In ME2 I died way too many times due to cover bugs, it wasn't as if I were pressing the wrong key. It was that the key kept doing the wrong thing.
I can forgive all of that, even the fear of dropping the soap, but then you have the DLC whoring, there are literally noticeable gaps where it says 'insert credit card here', it's annoying and shameless. I have to buy the game, buy half arsed DLC, join face book, ect ect.
Exactly, that is the major problem.
Every single game they have released recently (SWTOR, DA2, ME3) is shoehorned in with tons of romance crap. The worst part of it is, most of it is poorly written and is basically equivalent to soap opera drama. It is bad.
The focus needs to shift back to the main stories, which they haven't done a decent one in forever. The problem is, I am about to make a thread that shows the stupid audience that they are now catering too which at the same time abandons their main audience.
She actually said she enjoyed LotR, but found Tolkein boring. I'm afraid this distinction might be lost on you, since you've only seen the movies, which are more Peter Jackson's creation than Tolkein's.
Should you ever desire to degrade the act of reading, I suggest you stick to the sports section in newspapers and keep clear of the grown-up parts of the paper and books all together.

Regaurdless of whether you like Tolkien or not, he pretty much defined the Fantasy genre and her petty soap-opera romance garbage will never compare.

That guy sounds like a tool. Typical nerd voice, Bioware still sucks.
Textbooks that will be obsolete in less than five years and never read again by anyone do not count.
Someone certainly ran off with his tail between his legs recently in R&P, but it wasn't me. You may want to refer Darren to a qualified PTSD counselor, though.
Btw, keep working at those patents doomed to forever languish in obscurity. I hear Edison had over a thousand patents to his name, and he was unoriginal hack who paid thugs to destroy his rivals' laboratories. There may be hope for you yet.

Obsolete? Do you really know this little? I actually gave you a bit more credit than that. Damn shame.
BTW, this is a ****ing bible: http://www.amazon.com/Induction-Mach.../dp/2884491996
(In fact, sir, all jest aside, if you can get me that exact book through any of your sources, please hit me up. I used a borrowed copy.)
