GeForce 5800Ultra was a beast (at least in non-DX9 applications) and even Nvidia made fun of it. Though now cards like the 5800Ultra are commonplace and expected. [no]
That is the only thing that I don't like about my phone is that the battery can get pretty toasty. I hope that with the shift to 28nm and some moving to 32nm focus on delivering new faster cores, but also consider battery life and heat output. So deliver stellar product, but don't need to clock the piss out of it. Would be awesome to say have a dual-core A15 running at ~700MHz and still throw punches with the best A9's today.
What is the GPU clocked at in the iPad2 and the iPad3? On paper the Adreno 225 is a SGX543MP2, but the 225 is clocked at 400MHz. This chip would be a fantastic competitor against the iPad3 at high rez.
EDIT: Hells yeah, apparently the new Transformer Infinity will have the S4 in it! Seems like it might be only the LTE model though.![]()
10hrs on a 25Wh battery. [rofl]
What are the ToS like for the iPad3? Might be worth wild for me to buy an iPad3 and then sue Apple because it burned my daughter and myself causing blisters or something.

Are the news articles right that the ipad 3 gets a little toasty after heavy use?
Having used it a ton since launch, yes it operates warmer than the first two iPads but nowhere near the realm of it being uncomfortable. My phone will get as warm if not warmer than the iPad under full load after just running a brief benchmark.
Both devices are very quick to cool down afterwards.
It is most likely the combination of the new chipset, batteries and display. This new display takes roughly twice the amount of power to operate and they need more backlighting to power it since it is so dense, thus putting more strain on the batteries and power supply, all while drawing 4 times as many pixels.
My new iPad gets warm but I have it in a leather case now and don't even notice it. Not had any warning pop ups yet and played plenty of games on it.
Anyone's new iPad having a slightly yellowish display?

In some cases there seems to be a clear yellow tint that may be due to a defective display. Readers over at MacRumors and Ars Technica have reported the issue and there are also related discussions in Apple's support forum.
Given the fact that more than 3 million iPads have shipped already, the display defects appear to be a very limited problem, but those iPad owners who believe that their display is rather yellow may want to check with Apple and file a replacement claim. While Apple did not officially comment on the issue, it appears that Apple stores have acknowledged the yellow display flaws and are providing replacement iPads.
Some other Apple products had a similar problem at their launch. iMac panels were reported to have had a yellow tint and the original iPhone 4 was also affected by yellow discoloring.
No yellowing here. Wasn't that the glue not curing completely on the iPhone 4?
I noticed going from my iPod Touch First Generation to iPhone4 that my iPhone4 was warmer in color, but not in a bad way, very slight difference.
