Supposedly the Audio technica M50 headphones are good as well for about £120....
I listened to them briefly and they sounded pretty good... They have a lot of praise on the head fi forums also... Depends how much you want to spend

I think I'm gonna get the D2000's. [thumbsup]
Unless you think I should look at another pair? I am drooling at these. [rofl]
Where abouts do you live? I am possibly thinking of selling mine... I do like the D2000's but I want a new subwoofer for my Home theater setup! I am not 100% sure tho, I will get back to you in the next couple of days if you are interested.

I have only had them less than 6 months and they are in very good condition, still with original box etc...
I am weighing up if I should sell them or just keep them but if you are in the UK then I might sell them if you are interested.
*edit* I just read you are in arizona so probably not worth it.... But yeh if you are looking for some there isnt much better available for less than £250.... If the sibilance doesnt bother you then they are an extremely good pair of headphones...

Well after much research, I decided on a few things. lol [thumbsup]
Got the FiiO E7 (And the L3 Line out) (AMAZING), this thing has brought new life out of my iPod Touch and into my IEM's. Also got Comply tips (Also Freakin' Amazing!) for all my IEM's [thumbup]
On Friday will be receiving the Audio Techinca AT-M50S (It's HIGHLY rated on Head-Fi, even over my 280's, so eagerly anticipating pumping some wattage to these).
So yeah, bit of a splurge...![]()
Good choice(s). On a side note, I just got a set of ATH-ES55's and ATH-SJ55's along with a FiiO E6. Wanted something for work, and travel/portable use. Between the 2, the ES55's seem to have a little more detailed mids and highs, but the SJ55's are more comfortable (bigger earpads and less clamping force) and have better bass.
Also, the ES55's are lower impedance and were fine on my Rockboxed E280 without an amp. The SJ55's more or less need an amp. Overall I prefer the SJ55's, but the ES55's have their advantages too. Though, the SJ55's collapse for portable use, while the ES55's just fold/swivel flat. Over at head-fi the SJ55's have been said to be a portable/scaled down version of the M50.
So, since October/November when I got my first decent set of headphones (ATH-A900) I've already gotten 2 more... Now I still want to try the Soundmagic P30's, ATH-SJ11's, ATH-M50's, and Sennheiser PX100's. [no]
I sold my Denon D2000 in the end and have got some Sennheiser HD650 on the way... Pretty excited! Aren't we all lucky getting new headphones through this week [thumbsup]
I am in love. And I barely have 10 hours on these. Only going to get better... Oh man..... [surrender][surrender]What a RIGHT decision with this setup.*They SPANK my 280's., never thought I would say that about my Senny's. This has started another habit! on top of my A/V hobby. AYE....... LOL At least I am set for a while.
