i thought the phenom2 x4 was faster per clock on average, and for same clock speed use less power on load. if you've got a link though that'd be good.
(this is just first benchmark result i found http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1766/15/ showing 980BE using less power then BD on load; idle power use is more or less same and different motherboard could hide that diff easily. this just one benchmark though others will differ)
i hope so too. but not to beat a dead horse i3 2100 = faster stock or overclocked in gaming, cheaper, use less power on load or idle, and the board would be ivy B ready.I still have the abillity to put in a better CPU in the future(perhaps PileDriver chips will be much better, we'll see).
yes, of course some games more then others.Btw, what should I expect if my monitor supports a max of 1600x1200? That means its still pretty influenced by the cpu?
