yeahh still not support for HD 7970.....

It is very likely that this competition will then not be open to HD 7xxx series due to the driver issue. I'm sure Pasi will soon make an official post about it. Also it seems that 12.2 preview drivers do not support HD 7xxx either, so it is theoretically possible that even the drivers that will come in a month won't. ATI driver side is... less than perfect.

The new drivers will be approved soon - probably early next week (it takes a day or two to run the needed tests and then one guy has to analyze the results)

The contest is constantly running. As the Overall Champion prize is by far the best prize in this contest, the leaderboard reflects the current competition for the Overall Champion across the whole contest timeframe.

Hmm. This is curious as the 8.921.0.0 has never been officially approved, so there's been no removal per-se. I'm not doubting the screenshot, so it's likely to be some technical glitch.

We will consider the 7970 driver situation again tomorrow as it now turned out that there will not be an official Catalyst release with support for this card during the contest time frame.

The current decision is to not approve the existing 7900 drivers during this contest, so it now looks like AMD Radeon HD 7900 series cards will not be able to enter this contest.

I have bought an asrock motherboard for this competition, to enter with 7970. It seems that I have to sell it...
