    H100, HAF-X, random questions

    First, I haven't purchsed either yet, but I did come home with a 2500K and a P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 today.

    1. I've never watercooled before. I did read somewhere that watercooling is more affected by ambient temps than air; is this accurate? Just curious as my office can get pretty hot sometimes.

    2. Assuming the radiator would prevent me from mounting the PSU on the top of the case... trying to figure out if the bottom PCI-E slot would be usable. I have a HAF 932 now, with a P6T Deluxe V2, and there's only enough room for a single-slot video card before you hit the top of the PSU. Different case and different motherboard though.

Any other coolers I should be looking at? Noise isn't really an issue for me (unless it sounds like a jet engine, i.e. Deltas or my old Vantec Tornado), but I kind of like the fact that the Cooler Master H-series doesn't take up a ton of room.

I'd consider other cases as well, but I do really like my 932.

Google some images with motherboards in the case.

If you think you can only find "small" motherboards inside the case, those are standard ATX motherboards, and yes that is a massive gap between it and the bottom PSU.

Hmm. It does seem like there's some room. Was curious because it doesn't appear the X is that much bigger than my 932.

Thought about getting the 800D, but that would probably be overkill since I don't need room for huge radiators. And my understanding is it's not as efficient with air cooling, which might not be as great for multi-gpu setups. I like the Corsair mid-towers as well but looking for something that could fit 3 GPUs and a sound card if I eventually need it to.
