    recently opened items in Lion

Is it me, or when you go to "recently opened" in OSX Lion you find that the list has absolutely no resemblance to what you recently had opened? textedit (which I use a lot) never contains the document I just shut!

By the way, will Apple change the name of the next OSX to something different than cat names? Since the lion is the king of all cats and all...
