Just downloaded latest driver and now media player wont play the odd clip.media player classic-home movie does.
i tried renaming to mpeg wmv etc nothing. It playes but with a black screen. How does a display driver alter how a program playes a basic clip. All the decoders will be the same.Maybe I should have stook with ATI :)

rolled back driver from 8562 to 7048 and all is ok again. The latest driver was for BF3.It will be fun at christmas when I purchase it.
nVidia used to have the best drivers and ATI was rubbish.Looks like its done a role swop over the last few years.Too late to send my 560ti back

    Re: gtx 560 + vids

The 560 Ti lines up with the 6950 1gb and they tend to trade blows. The 560 non ti has less core components and therefore is slower. In general the 560 Ti works better then the 6950 at lower resolutions, at 1650x1080 and below, where as the 6950 does better at 1920x1080 and above with the 2gb losing even less steam at higher res.

The 560 Ti is shorter, runs cooler, and is quieter then the 6950 where as the 6950 can connect more then two monitors and can game across multiple monitors.
