On my PC, I have an SSD as the boot drive and I have a rotary hard drive E: for file storage. On the SSD I have Win 7 and Firefox installed. I have specified my downloads folder for Firefox be on E:. Is it possible if I boot into windows, launch firefox, and then begin downloading a large file that takes several hours to download and I leave the computer idling while downloading, that Windows will turn off the E: drive after some time, causing the firefox download to fail?
The reason I ask is that i have had a lot of downloads that have just stopped in the middle of the download. This happens for no reason as I don't lose internet connection but the download just stops and I have to restart it and I'm wondering if this is happening because Windows turns the drive off.
