Unfortunately the answer to that is "no".Well they mentioned SH 2 quite "recently" (2 months ago), along with the spaceship game, when they said that they were presenting the games to publishers. They are two different things.

@FuturemarkGames sooo, that space shooter you're working on... any updates?

@vijilKiwi We were pitching the idea, and a sequel to Shattered Horizon, to the publishers at Games-Connection this week so fingers crossed!
I'd love to have some update about it. Did FM find any publisher that was interested by one or both games?
Come on blueyes, don't be like this. I'm as disappointed as you are, but I'm pretty sure that the FGS devs also wish they could have the possibility to finish their games. No need for outrage.[no]

Last year we got very close to signing the space game with a major publisher and we are as disappointed as anyone that the 'big one' got away but the reality is that every studio has a heap of great ideas and promising prototypes that never make it to release. That's just part of the business of making games.
All we can hope for is that Rovio takes on some of those ideas and develop something similar(ly) good.
Or... A couple of devs rebel and take on new projects themselves as "Almost FGS"! *hint, hint*
*cough* kickstarter the thing *cough*
Hey I've got experience making space games, I was the gameplay designer for Beyond the Red Line. :D
