My copy just arrived from play.com. I've only had a quick look and enjoyed driving the Cee'd round the top gear track, but part of me feels a bit let down. The kinect head tracking seems ok, but it's no game changer.
I'll have to give it a longer play and get into the career and some multiplayer races to really formulate my opinion though.
Yes. Mine came this morning. Loving it so far. Handling is just superb on the cars I've tried so far. Some are easy, some are a real handfull. (Shelby SSC Ultimate Aero is a pig to handle) Done the 1st hour or so of races, then spent another couple of hours belting round the Top Gear test track in various cars. (And you dont have to "unlock" the track, either )
Graphics wise. It's kind of 50% Forza > GT5, 50% GT5 > Forza. Sound, I'd put about the same. Handling, I'd have to give to Forza.
I played the Forza 4 demo a few times now, and just can't seem to grow on the understeer and oversteer that's so abundant. It all feels exaggerated to me, as if the game is closer to Test Drive Unlimited than it is to a proper simulation of how the physics should behave.
Won't get the game any time soon, I think - which is a first for me and this generation's Forza games!
I still feel Graphics wise, and physics wise - it comes way short in comparison to GT5. An all round huge improvement from Forza 3 obviously...
The sounds and the way the transmission reacts on cars (ie. from bumps, gear changes, downshift rev matching etc) are incredible and something Polyphony only dreams about. Simply because of how good the sounds and transmission reacts, it's a must buy for any gear head.
Side note - everyone should try the Lamborghini Muira on the Fujimi Kaido track and crank up your speakers!!
I got my copy on launch day and spent hours playing around with everything I could. I like it better than 3 so far. I can say that I'm very old school as far as racing games go and like the Forza series mainly because I seem to be able to handle the cars better. Being 47 kinda slows the reflexes down a little and I can't do twitch driving games anymore.
OK - got a slightly annoying problem. Bought my copy from Mediamarkt here in Holland. Box is in English, manual is in English. My X360 dashboard is set to English - however when I boot Forza 4 its all in Dutch, with no option to change language [surrender]
