The world of MadOnion was not the same as Earth.

East and west were inverted: when in 3DMark2000 test Game 2 - Adventure the view turns left the compass needle turns right, and vice-versa.
It is the same in Game 1 - Helicopter: when the helicopter turns left, on Earth the bearing would decrease, instead of increasing.

Ah, but it is Earth - the real question is when :)

    Indeed 6 December 1999 was a Monday
As for the thanks, I’d say I’m 10 to 11 year too late for that. [oops] Now it is a looooong time unsupported product, so the observation is more a “feature”.
Actually, I thought that it might have been intentional, because it adds more “dazzle” on the screen with things moving in different directions (for the adventure, for the helicopter it does not do much, since only the numbers are displayed). May be somebody skilled with a debugger will be able to track this inverted bit and post here an unofficial patch to compare.

Well, I only noticed this a year ago or so. I googled it, and to my surprise, the only topic found discussing about it was this one: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=900430
I mean, come on, with all these geeks ‘round the world running benches ‘round the clock I was expecting at least a couple of threads/blogs/comments mentioning it.
So there are now officially at least 3 persons in the World that actually watch their screens when running benchmarks. [stupid]

Oh yeah, forgot about this one. It’s settled then. Perhaps one day there will be an official statement about the exact time-frame.

Were all the posts kept when the forums changed from MadOnion to Futuremark?

If not, that would explain why there arn't any posts about it.

I'm sure there's a computer in a dark corner at FM that still holds all MadOnion.com GamersHQ threads and posts, not accessible to the public though. There's a lot of history in there.

Worm probably tripped over and is knocked out in one of the cupboards with the only key to the server :(
