    GoM does nothing

    None of my computers (laptop and desktop) are able to use GoM.

    On this page http://www.yougamers.com/gameometer/10478/ if I click the button to see my system performance, all it does is display a message:

    We are sorry, the Game-o-Meter is unable to identify your processor.
    It may be so new that it has not yet been added to our database, or so old that we do not have data on it. The Game-o-Meter has logged this failure and we will make every effort to correct this problem. Please try again in a few days.

    Hmm, some problems. Could you copypaste the link that shows up under the performance bars that would allow me to see exactly what you are seeing.

    Also what kind of system you have?

    Okay, that link ending with "SystemInfoID=-3" tells that there was an error with the system scan.

    Perhaps try installing the required SystemInfo module manually, from here;

    http://www.futuremark.com/download/f..._installer.exe

    Once installed, re-run Game-o-meter and see if that helps.

    No good.

    I had it installed already, but went ahead and uninstalled and re-installed systeminfo, but it didn't make any difference. Still getting the same message.

    Re: GoM does nothing

    Do you have any benchmark results that you could provide a link to that would give us one copy of proper systeminfo from you so we could start digging why GoM dislikes it...

    Here's a bench of my Laptop

    Looks like my equipment is being identified just fine.

    Re: GoM does nothing

    Two things that you could do to help solve this;

    1. Open java console and see what it says when the scan runs. When GoM scans, you should have Java "coffee cup" icon in your taskbar. Right click, open console and check what it says when the faulty result appears.

    2. Try running our "debug scanner",

    http://clients.futuremark.com/calico/systeminfoscan/

    Click: do scan

    Wait until scan finishes or errors appear.

    If it works you should see something like: "Scan successful. System info id:8384780". Otherwise you may see some error messages or error codes, which we are interested in...

    Thank you for helping us sort this out!

    Re: GoM does nothing

    Ok, the link was able to fix the problem. Turns out to be something pretty silly.

    I run no-script on my web browsers. I did not think this was the problem because I was allowing all the scripts on the site. The problem is the site doesn't list Java.com in the list of script sources so I couldn't see it to white list the site.

    The link you gave allowed me to white list Java.com and I went back and tried GoM again and it worked.

    Sorry about that.
