How to join the beta (closed)

**** BETA TESTING FOR UNSTOPPABLE GORG HAS NOW CLOSED ****

After a quiet couple of weeks, I am super excited to announce an upcoming beta for Unstoppable Gorg.



We like beta testing. Many players who took part in the beta for our first game, Shattered Horizon, told us it was one of the best betas they had ever experienced. We are hoping to repeat that experience with Unstoppable Gorg. This will be a proper closed beta where your comments, suggestions and ideas will help shape the final game. If you want to get involved and help make Unstoppable Gorg a great game, then we warmly invite you to apply.

We are looking for fans of tower defense style games to help test and refine the mechanics and balance of Unstoppable Gorg. But even if you have never played tower defense games before, you are still welcome to apply. Although Unstoppable Gorg will be available for iPad and Xbox LIVE Arcade the beta is for PC gamers only. PC is not only the lead development platform, but it is also the most suitable for running the kind of beta we have planned. Your PC should have at minimum Windows XP and a DirectX 9 graphics card. High spec machines are also welcome. You will also need a Steam account. The only question remaining then, have you got the guts?

We expect the beta to start within the next couple of weeks. You will be emailed if you are selected to take part. We will be inviting players in waves so don't worry if you don't get an invite straight away as there will be plenty more chances to join throughout the beta.For more about the game, check out "Preparing for Invasion" our series of dev diaries:

HOW TO SIGN UP

If you are already a member of our forums:

• Click on the User CP button on the top left of the forum navigation
  
• In the list of options on the left, click on Edit Profile
  
• Scroll down till you see the box for Additional Information
  
• Find the Unstoppable Gorg beta section, and select the Apply for beta button
  
• In the list of options on the left, click on Edit Options
  
• In the Messaging & Notification section, make sure you have checked the box to Receive Email from Administrators

If you are new to our forums:

• Click on the Register button on the top left of the forum navigation
  
• Accept the terms and conditions
  
• Fill in the registration fields, then look for the box for Additional Information
  
• Find the Unstoppable Gorg beta section, and select the Apply for beta button
  
• Make sure you have checked the box to Receive Email from Administrators

Now I'm going to completely destroy my F5-key waiting for the email.... I hate waiting

Oh and also something worth noting for new beta testers: FM really does listen the testers' suggestions, as seen in SH beta where they made a whole level based on our suggestions. So if you're invited, you seriously should suggest something if you think something's wrong or could be done differently.
