Gas. I dislike electric.
I prefer gas cooktops.
I prefer electric cooktops.
I don't know / don't prefer one over the other.
Gas. I dislike electric.
I prefer electric, hate gas.
Interesting about gas ovens. My oven is also gas (new to me, only used electric in the past). I ordered a thermometer to see how accurate the temperature reading on the oven dial is. I plan to move the thermometer around and see if there are any cold/hot spots in the oven.
Not a huge fan of induction, though they do have a cleaner look to them.
Not a huge fan of gas unless it is free. Where my brother lives, his whole house is gas (even a gas power generator) because he has a gas well that lucky soab.
What I would like to try though is the gas/electric stoves. Uses gas for the first few seconds to get the pot heated up, but then uses electric once the desired temp is meant. Best of both worlds. Gas = fast heat and electric for the constant temp as it is cheaper.
What I prefer the most is pots and pans that have and keep a flat bottom. All the pots and pans I buy seem to get warped way too fast. I need to replace everything with cast iron I guess.
I went to see a few places the other day...one had an electric range. I almost walked out once I saw that. Honestly, if I knew it was electric, I probably wouldn't have even bothered. [rofl]
Gas is what I like. Induction is nice, but if you have any dishes that aren't metal (CorningWare and most casserole dishes) you're out of luck.
Anyone that prefers electric over gas clearly has no idea how to cook.
