and IF the game sinks there will be NO MORE big pay to play titles again.
so you want to play wow forever?

On the subject of sales numbers; Simple fact based on the massive number of servers and the way they all are filling up. I'm fairly sure by the end of the month they have sold well over a million boxes (which, if converted to subscribers, will give them a healthy monthly revenue even considering the massive dev budget).
As for the leveling, nolifers did 1-50 in 4-5 days as expected. More "normal" players will take at least 2-3 weeks. I do agree that the exp curve could've been slightly steeper as now you either end up skipping some content or end up outleveling the story content you have to follow.
I agree that the char creator is unimpressive, yet it at least offers more customization than World of Warcraft.
I can't say about the endgame content other than, yes, I've heard there is roughly none at the moment. Will see myself over the next week or so. In that regard a lot is hanging on their first "okay this is what we are bringing in with the first content patch" announce. It pretty much sets the expectations for how much they are going to do ongoing content over time. Nobody who is at all interested in the game will bail before that.
And you can't argue that the leveling content isn't well done. It is polished fairly well and the quest dialogue system does raise the bar on MMOs in general (from "wall of text" to "mass effect style dialogue with multiple choices") for the future.
There are over 60 or even more EU servers located geographically in Europe.
Not sure if you can without logging in, but check your facts here : http://www.swtor.com/server-status
Not all servers are full and they keep adding when needed or increasing caps on existent ones where possible.
The amount of bad misinformation and intentional bad mouthing from people who don't play is amazing.
What the hell do i care about a game i don't play, i never care to post about it.
This is a big problem for me. I landed on Nar Shadaa @ lvl 25. Nar Shadaa i believe in the galaxy map is lvl 20-24. Im soloing the Heroic mini dungeons or whatever theyre called a lot, elites dont mean anything to me, hell the bosses in these encounters dont mean much to me either except that they may be a few minutes long as i can just keep healing my companion, qyzen is an incredible tank, and dare say i a better tank than a lot of players in other games that i had the misfortune to group with. i have not once overaggroed on a boss and i really let the attacks fly.
Another thing i have noticed is when i first came across a strong silver elite i thought how cool i just found a rare mob this early. i was wrong there however, they're everywhere. i dont even know if there are rare mobs in this game. i did enjoy that in wow though. i was searching for the time lost dragon for a good few weeks and i still hadnt found him when i gave up eventually.
i tend to "spacebar quickly" through some of the non class based conversations when i have seen enough of them in a session.
its the same with wow now - you quickly outleveling the content , by doing all the quests, and with boa its even quicker.
True, but with SWTOR the story requires you to do much of the content while in WoW there is easy way to skip whole zones.
Granted, in SWTOR you can skip a lot of optional quests (all heroic 2+ and heroic 4s) but in essence the system seems to be "you should skip these or you outlevel the content and it becomes trivial".
Still trying to decide if I should pick this up.
Played WOW for a few years and liked it. Quit about a year ago.
Then played Rift for about a year, quit about 2 months ago. Also liked it.
Not really sure what to expect with SWTOR. been reading some reviews, but I don't really come away with a clear picture that will help me decide if its worth a purchase.
