Even though the game comes with one month of play time, you cannot start the game until you have entered payment details for the subsquent subscription.

This particular issue is easy enough to solve however, EA just need to seperate the ability to boot the game from the ability to access you account / payment settings.

Yes I know that but how do we know that once he was banned that his recurring payment was cancelled as well? Also after you enter your payment details you can just cancel your subscription like I did and if you didn't do that even if they did charge you the next month a simple call to your Bank will get that charge reversed. Heck you can get a new card too not that hard.

I agree - the story is made out to be worse than it probably is. Either he had removed his sub already, or most likely his bannage also killed his sub.

It is EA though. Wouldn't surprise anyone if they kept billing the guy.

It was a temp ban and yeah you can't change your billing while under temp ban. That *is* screwed up.

But he can cancel once the ban has been served.

Of course the whole episode is a demonstration of epic fail MMO gameplay design 101 by EA/Bioware.

    * Thou shalt not include treasure chests lootable by anyone to your game world or thou shall find that people will circumvent all other gameplay to loot them for free stuff. Repeatedly. It doesn't matter where you put them in the game - if they are otherwise inaccessible, people shall just use teleport hacks to reach them or they'll just camp them 24/7 once they have a character parked at the right spot. (see: World of Warcraft and the chests in that game that were quietly phased away due to farmers using hacked accounts to teleport hack them for loot and profit. It didn't matter that the chests generally had monsters next to them - hackers just looted them from underground - if you are going to hack, such an additional bit is trivial)

Heh, in fact EVE Online also learned this the "hard way" - they used to have static complexes that spawned valuables at the end inside a special container so people just parked characters at the right spot and kept looting the canisters as they respawned... Kinda "clear once, camp the loot bag for more". Funnily such a camped spawn would also piss off others who came to the site, cleared all the respawned hostiles only to find out that the final loot can was camped... :D

Now im no star wars fan so maybe thats the problem but when the "voice acting" is not in english it irritates the **** out of me. and holy f*** is there a lot of non english voice acting[cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing] bing bong bang ding ding dooong flak pooooooooey chinka chonka bang bang tango mango bango, at first it was a little funny as it seems there are some choice insults disguised in the dialogue but a lot of it i find unbelievably annoying

So whenever theres a quest that involves talking to someone who doesnt speak english, well, lets just say i dont have a clue what the quest is about until im actually right at the blinking location on my minimap wondering what the hell im supposed to be doing here. so i end up reading my quest log a lot. more time spent reading, listening than actually playing. I never had a problem with the age old, grab as many quests as possible in the least amount of time and read the objectives while you're on route to your quest. It suits the type of game it is.

And lastly the other thing that gets to me is when some npc's speak english to non english speaking npcs and english speakers speak english to non english speaking npcs, so you end up with voiced english in some parts of the conversation and then for others you're reading subtitles while having to endure irritating sounds

Game is fun at times and it is polished as they say but damn diddly pinka pookie chookie dookie bang pinga ponka wango it does leave a bit to be desired and not just with the voice acting.
I'm sure the pandas will speak english, and you will be able to quickly not read why you will have to harvest 5 boar tails and 10 fairy dusts.

IMO this is the worst "MMO RPG" I've played. Worse than Tabula Rasa, and Hell Gate London.

Hey I liked Hellgate: London . I agree though it is definately missing something. Paid for three months. I haven't touched it this last month at all.
