Re: Folding @ Home - Wake Up Call

    Hi guys.

The team has taken quite a beating, no thanks to me. So, a GTX 460 (768mb) @ 800mhz core has been added to the teams folding cluster.

Infact I will go full steam ahead to get the team past the 'motherboards.org team'....

OK affer some messing about, all my clients are folding for Team 62. It shouldn't take long to claw our way past motherboards.org

Damn! I was just lining you up in my sights to overtake...

5mil going down sometime tomorrow and the [once] almighty janderson shall follow a few days afterwards.

I'm only able to run SMP/CPU client's right now though. I recently updated Nvidia drivers and keep getting EUE's. Don't feel like ripping them out and installing old drivers again. Where can I get the 7 beta GPU client?

Re: Folding @ Home - Wake Up Call

I have an Athlon II with a Radeon 4860 and 3200.

This machine is running Windows 8 just so that I can get a feel for it. Im folding on it.

The issue that I am running into is that the GPUs wont fold. The latest beta client can does the video cards and when I click "fold" they are just constantly in the "ready" state. Work Queue status is "Download." It just sits there.

Re: Folding @ Home - Wake Up Call

Hmmm... Well I was hoping to maybe fold on some rubbish stuff.
    Radeon 4860, 4200, 3200

But this will not work out. Stanford dropped support of the HD4000 series cards and older that were still folding. Seems like the WUs for these cards dried up H1 of this year. Oh well.

See if I can get them to bitmine. So far not having any luck with the HD4200 chip. :-/

I'm glad to there are still some active members on this team.

460 GTX being added to Team 62 for the time being

Edit: It's running at 800mhz core and is good for between 11k and 15k PPD depending in WU

Edit 2: and props to whome ever bwillard is. A new team member!

Wow, since I have stopped Folidng, FM went off the deep end.

I just got the i7 920 back online. And by the end of the year I should end up getting a CPU and possibly a handful of GPUs folding away again. Guess walk my way to the #1 spot.

Yeah, noticed this too. I am partly to blame as was away for a week and my weekly production dropped to 0 for the first time in over a year. Back folding with my i7 3770 for now. Wish I could figure out how to get my 660ti folding stably with the the GPU client though...I just get EUE's constantly.

Re: Folding @ Home - Wake Up Call

That is lame. Maybe the card is slightly unstable? Touch more voltage or maybe just a defective chip?
Have you tried running something on it that is a lot more intensive then folding? I found that even though folding eats 100% of the cycles, it isn't that hard on on the GPU.

Kinda funny. Got my first WU turned in and already in the top 6 for production, lol.

Hopefully in a couple/few months I will get a handful of CPUs and GPUs added. :-)
