Thickness of thermalpads on Nv GPUs?
0.5 or 1mm anyone know what the default thickness used is?
And what's the effect of the difference?

Re: Thickness of thermalpads on Nv GPUs?
For the RAM?
They are quite thick depending on the card, but in general, for replacements you need at least 1-2mm thick.

Yah for the RAM. 1-2mm seems a lot though, most I've been able to Google for seems to be using 0.5 or 1 mm.

Re: Thickness of thermalpads on Nv GPUs?
You can get varying thickness
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/spare-parts.html?p=3
but from my X1900XTX and 8800GT, the RAM pads were quite thick, at least 2mm.
They do compress, its better to have a slightly tight fit rather than not having good contact.
What card do you intend on using them for?

MSI 295GTX single PCB. The plan is to use 0.5mm.
