My first time shooting a music gig... How'd i go?

    Hi all,

Took my camera along to a friends gig this week & to take some shots. Was my first time shooting something like this... Just looking to get some feedback/critisism on these (randomly selected) photo's i recently took at a small music gig.

    and

    http://members.iinet.net.au/~nodowt/sv_hopefools/

All photo's are direct from camera, no editing what so ever (other than the obvious resize for gallery).

    Any & all (good/bad) feedback/critisism appreciated.

    Cheers!

Its not easy in those light levels, ,most of my gig shots are terrible!

First set has great angles and cropping.
Second set has great lighting and a lot more higher image quality.

    Nice pics!

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yeh the lighting was terrible... Though did make for some interesting shots when I got it right/lucky...

With the first set of photo's (Broken Young), i think having the extra people on stage made it a harder to get shots without too many shadows or have them blocking each other etc.

This was shot with a Canon 450D & 27-70 f/2.8 L, no flash. Most were shot at ISO1600. Which, I'm impressed there wasn't a crazy amount of noise from shooting at the highest ISO setting on the 450D.
