Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

Is there support for Eyefinity? If not native can you edit a file to support it or is it impossible to run 6048x1200?

I would assume all the settings are stored in a cfg file somewhere. However even if you could edit the resolution to be that high, I doubt your CPU/GPU would like it, also the textures probably aren't designed to be run that high.

That resolution can be handled but I would assume you must have either dual gpu or dual vidcard config to run at playable frames. Im running 5040X1050 with 1 card (temporarily) with some eyecandy turned down with a hd6970.

Re: Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

    Yea.. Yea.. Yea.. Eyefinity.

I just setup Eyefinity, with my new Crossfire setup.

It would be so cool for SH to 'Auto' recognise the setting options on our PC's.

I found after setting up Eyefinity, that a few of my games do work that way.
For example.. Microsoft Flight Sim. Before my Eyefinity, the offering was not shown in the game. Now that I have it available on my PC.... wham, it's available in Flight Sim.

and I currently have a dual, not triple setup... it worked. Need a third mon itor because that black frame line in the middle.... [rofl]

    Yea, I'm back.... Hello

3 major surguries, have had me a little busy... recovering. I'm doing just fine...Thank you.

Re: Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

Diverticilitis/Diverticilutis for over 25 years. I was lucky that I made it as long as I did. My luck was no bag. Just recovery, and I am now recovered.

They took my Apendix, while they were there. And just a few months later, I had a serious Gall Bladder attack. Out went the Gall Bladder,.

Earlier I had my neck fused in three levels from a car accident. Not my fault, still awaiting settlement, for my injusries. I was the only insured. Go figure.

The only remaining problem I am experiencing, is some knumbness in my arms/hands, if I am on the PC for a long period. In getting back to playing SH, I find in about an hour, it's time for a break. But, hopefully that will get better. The good part.... not mutch let too go wrong... [thumbup]

And, I found out through all the testing and surguries, at 53, I have a heart like an professional sprots player. EF78. Enfraction Rate. 78 is near the top. And the cardiologist says my report is the best he has ever written in over 25 years of the job. Yea.

    Thanks for asking.

Re: Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

    So Back to 'EyeFinity'....

I guess this is a question for the developers...

Is there any chance that Shattered Horizon, will ever have the ability to operate in the Multi-Monitor arena?

Sure, I ask because I now have a 3 Monitor 'EyeFinity' setup.

Games like Crysis, and Microsoft Flight Simulator do... and it is amazing. I am considering BattleField Bad Company 2, and the Vietman Edition, because they do use 'EyeFinity'.

As a SH Fan.... do I need to say more.. Sure multl-monitor use is kinda new... it is becomming popular with, AMD 'EyeFinity', and NVideas Multi-Screen ability.... just pushing a button and wondering..

    I'm Back....

Re: Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

Personally I couldn't think of anything worse than having gaps in my FoV (the gaps between monitors). Other than that though I'd say multi-mon support is slightly pointless, sure it looks pretty, but it's impractical. You simply can't focus on everything in a 150ish degree angle.

Re: Eyefinity resolution supported native or hack?

    Have you tried it...

I have played Crysis, and Microsoft flight sim... they work great...

I do get your point... but, somehow our eyes don't see the bands between the screens.. As for flight sim... slow action... easy across 3 screens... but Crysis is fast moving.. it's all new too me... so far twice I played and... I don't think I'm missing anything...

Until I tried it with SH... don't know, you might be right... But sure would love to find out...

What a huge visual experience... just don't know...

    Toys... toys... toys... [thumbup]

That might have something to do with playing SH... [thumbup]
