Hello i'm getting this error when ever i try to run the GoM.
"C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\setup_FMSI.e xe is not a valid Win32 application."
Then when i click ok another pop up occurs
Window Title: Installation failed or canceled
"Futurmark SystemInfo could not be installed or the installation was canceled. The library is required to use Game-O-Meter System Scan.
Please note that you need administration privileges to run the installer."
Then when i click ok the page goes back to the game page.
I tried accessing that file directly get the same first error.
Also tried in different browsers.
Tried to run as admin and/or in compatibility mode.
Cleared all temp files.
Is it downloading the wrong file?
I'm unsure as to what to do. Is anyone else getting this problem?
Re: setup_FMSI.exe is not a valid Win32 application
And to add: I just tested everything and can't reproduce this - however, there were a lot of backend server changes during the past two days and it is possible that it was temporarily broken.
Re: setup_FMSI.exe is not a valid Win32 application
What browser are you using? I do know that what you are experiencing can happen on IE8 beta.
Beyond that... it is likely that there is something strange going on with your Windows installation - both the GoM installer refusing to install with fairly odd error message and now after installation it refusing to return a scan result.
(I just ran a test at our end using Firefox, Chrome and IE7 and all work just fine, so this problem has something to do with your specific system)
Re: setup_FMSI.exe is not a valid Win32 application
Could you try uninstalling Futuremark SystemInfo and Game-o-Meter from your program list and then manually installing the SystemInfo installer mentioned above and then retrying?
