King of the hill mode for SH:D
    But hill could be battleship:D

Teams could try to go to same point and have only one life per one round?

    btw: Spectator mode anyone?

Allways said I respect Fm and fully appreaicate all the work put in.

However, I do feel without some serious performance optimizations and new game modes added then we are going to be in the same boat again and the free weekend will be yet another short term fix. Please work more on making the game run better like back in Jan/Feb this year before FP etc, and add game modes, this is what the game needs, well two of the things to keep the player count going for the long term not the short term.

All you said is true in my opinion. Very well spoken. [thumbup]
Especially performance needs to be worked on i feel. And balancing the AR. Well and a couple of other things... Maybe with the free weekend comes a new patch? I am sure that FM know themselves that this free weekend won't help anything without changes to the game.

Also, the CTF mod hasn't been announced officially, so until it's here you can't say that the game that FM is working hard on it too.

I might sound a bit hard but your post really looks like a post made by a blinded fanboy, and from you that disappoint me a bit.
Note the wording of "Should", as in not fact, but possibility/being hopeful. Much like everyones suggestions around here lol.

The point I was getting across - see context of quote I replied to - was that community ideas are not ignored around here.

Quick suggestion for free weekend servers - Cap the player limit at 20 per server.

The FPS drain for more players is to high, if you're looking to attract players they won't want to see SH break their graphics card.

    That is all.

True, may be a very good idea. 16-20 Players is a decent amount for medium-range systems.

I'd guess there will be a patch before the weekend!?
A lot of my friends said after the last free weekend "I'm not going to buy that, it doesn't even run decently on my Ati 4870 or NVidia 8800 GTX". So it would only make sense that they see a performance increase so they know the game is still patched and not forsaken.

"NVidia 8800 GTX" Complaining that the game won't maxed out run on a card now celebrating it's fourth birthday and 3 (significant) Nvidia Geforce series gone past. Yes it's a demanding game. Grab a GTS 450 or + and shush X3

A few odd engine quirks aside, it's nice to have a game like this or Crysis you can pitt gaming rigs against, gives you something to aim for! Rather than what most engines (MW2) are doing and still languishing in DX9/Windows XP land.

Seeing newcomers enjoying the game and improving really fast in few hours is awesome.

many people i was with on the server said this was interesting and they gonna buy it.

the ragers complaining about the game and yelling cheaters anytime they get killed didn't last long. maybe it's because the game was too hard to understand.
one even said it sucks, but spent all his time grounded.
how can you enjoy shattered horizon without flying?
they left, and others were starting to play really well.

in 3 hours, the server, starting from full of recruits, became full of engineers and first astronauts appeared, very talented players, they understood the mechanics in no time.

    Thumbs up! [thumbup]
