will the price of 3DMark11 be about the same as previous versions? Around 20 USD?

    Re: pricing

There will be several different versions at different price points but exact prices and features haven't been announced yet.

There will be a free version with no limitation on how many times you can run it, similar to 3DMark 06.

was it vantage where you could run it as many times as you liked but you could only upload a result to the orb once

i know you dont make the programs for free and it all costs money but it doesnt do much for the community which you must admit has shrunk rapidly since the old days of 2001 etc

Okay, let's expand it a bit then; You will be able to run and submit your score as many times as you want with the free version of 3DMark 11.

The default benchmark run will work just like in 06 - you can submit and in fact you have to in order to see the score with the free version. Just like in 06. ORB should also function pretty much like with 06.

Trust me: Futuremark has listened to the community feedback on Vantage and a lot of that stuff has come up over and over again during 3DMark 11 planning and development. It will be better than Vantage. It will be Awesome(tm).
