    GTX 460 Overkill for Physx?

I currently have two 480GTX in SLI, and I'm considering getting a GPU dedicated to Physx. I was initially worried about having to downgrade my slave 480gtx to 8x mode, but after reading an article at HardOCP I realize it won't even effect performance unless playing at super resolutions. As of now I have about $300 in Best Buy gift cards, so I'm considering getting a 460 for this purpose. Thoughts?

Gotta be careful here. I've seen users with your setup that saw better performance having the 480s handle Physx, then adding a dedicated card.

Save the $300 cards for something else, I can't see that enabling your system to do anything more than it can already do 10x over.

Gotcha, thanks. Metro 2033 can dip in frames during certain physx heavy scenes. Although that's in Ultra settings at 1080p using Nvidia 3D vision.

    LOL you better be joking.

2 480 can handle Physx in any game. Do not waste your money on another card.
