    Running server using FireDaemon Pro/Trinity?

Hey gang, I was thinking about running my own Shattered Horizon server to help out with the free weekend. Not only that but for some odd reason Americans love playing on the European servers spending their time complaining about lag and warping not realizing if they all went to an American server they wouldn't be experiencing this issue.

I have a pretty solid net connection (30 down/5 up) and live on the East Coast, USA.

Anyway, what are the hardware reqs for running the server?

Is it multi-core aware or does it only use one core? Would setting it to run only on my 3rd core (3.0 ghz Phenom II x4 940 quad) be fine?

And is there anyway I can have it running using FireDaemon? My only other experiences with running servers has been with Killing Floor. Once I set up INI file I just loaded it into FireDaemon and it runs as a Windows service. Completely automated. If it ever crashes, it restarts automatically.

I tried it with SH but if I just load the sh_server.exe everything is barren and on the default settings. The only way I've managed to get the server running is through the GUI but I don't think I can configure that to run with FireDaemon because it requires clicking on the load and start buttons which FireDaemon doesn't do. Any parameters I can use so it loads up the sh_server.exe along with my server config?

In case anyone wants to test the server out it's called "PvtHudson's They Mostly Come At Night SH Server" running the Moonrise maps assault/battle for 12 minutes with FF on.

It should be running until 6 AM EST and it'll probably go back up at around 2 PM tomorrow.

    For the requirements: http://arconauts.com/faq/shattered-h...-server/65.php

And yes, the SH server makes usage of multicores if available.

Not sure if it would be good to restrict SH to one fixed core.

And did/do you start the sh_server.exe with the --config_file= parameter? you MUST have at least this parameter + pointing it to your config if you donīt want to use the GUI.

Thanks a lot! Got it to work just fine. And thanks for the hardware reqs, couldn't find those anywhere. I set it to 2 cores.
