    Hud doesn't cover all the Screen!

    I noticed that the HUD doenst cover the whole screen, that means that especially the Brackets around players disapear before the disapear on my screen.
    I have an old 4:3 Monitor and this happens in 2cm stripes on top and bottom ...
    My Resolution is 1024x768!

    What you need is a 16:10 monitor

    Although 4:3 makes much more sense in space.... maybe that's why you're so damn good.

    Heh maybe this bug is actually a futuremark-sanctioned handicap in a useless attempt to curb your pro killing...

    On the more useful front...I assume this only started happening since patch?

    Sounds like some of the optimising accidentally erased some 4:3 code so it's using the 16:10 substitute.

    the FOV seems to be close to 75 i think, but is it vertically bounded or horizontally bounded.

    if horizontaly, then 4:3 is better, as you see more things vertically...

    maybe the hud hasn't been built that way, and does not follow each resolution properly... i have seen quiet strange things in other games with different resolutions...

    oh and BTW : 1280x1024 isn't 4:3 but 5:4, which i think you have, unless you play in 1024x768...

    About the whole FOV thing, I believe it was mentioned that the vertical height was the same but widescreen monitors just could see farther left/right.

    Shattered Horizon FOV is actually defined for vertical, with the horizontal FOV defined by your aspect ratio. Here are the rough numbers calculated from that.

    When floating
    4:3 screens: 71
    16:10 screens: 81
    16:9 screens: 87

    When walking on a surface
    4:3 screens: 60
    16:10 screens: 69
    16:9 screens: 75

This is often considered the ideal solution for widescreen games, as it grants widescreen users a wider picture."

    This means that you can get a wider FOV on 4:3 screens by playing in a windowed mode and setting a widescreen resolution (1280x720 for example).

    I dont thinkt that this is what i meant !! because its not the field of view, its more the FOV of the overlaying HUD ... I will do a screen(s) now! And my resolution is the lowest 1024x768!

    Huh, the way you described it matches the bug I submitted a while ago - 2cm top/bottom of interface - but I'm curious to see how it differs from the image in my first link. Maybe something new cropped up in the last few patches :P

    I notice this on my 16:10 Monitor but it's on the right and left side of the screen. A small band where brackets and what not vanish but the character remains on screen.

    At present my frames are so jerky with other players on screen that testing this is almost pointless... One frame someone is there, the next they are gone! Can't see fluid motion near 2cm edge of screen...
