Want Left4Dead, but can I run it?

GoM says I probably have 'too new' of a system/video card or something.... I just bought a HP laptop with Intel HD Graphics (this is what GoM says), 3.8GB memory, and an Intel Core i3-330M processor. Is this sufficient? I know it's not the best, as I didn't buy it for gaming, but figured I would be able to run L4D on it.....

Intel HD graphics might start the game, but I sincerely doubt it will run it well enough to keep it playable. It really isn't suitable for gaming in general.

Core i3 should have a chip right with the CPU, correct? I found this video on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb1OJQLRGng You can't gauge FPS with flash video, but it is playing, and if the rate is close to what is being described, it will be playable.

Well, I stand corrected. Looks like it might run (at low settings) somewhat okay.

Still, that integrated HD graphics thing is not really a gaming powerhouse...

Intels new integrated graphics are on par with Nvidia and ATI.

This is not saying much but its a lot better than it was.

Intel HD graphics mearly mean they are suitable for 2D rendering with todas technology and still lack of power for 3D.

After all HD = High Definition
What the worls reads= HD VIDEO etc..

For games, one should buuy dedicated graphics card.

Of course it'll run the game L4D1, but the processor itself is shallow. L4D asks alot of multitasking CPU usage as well as some graphics. 4 Cores be best for this game.

    A core i3 2.13ghz is fine for L4D1.

It does have HT so 2 cores, 4 threads. Not sure how 4 threaded games react to HT though.

Pick up a cheap Radeon 4650 and you'll be fine...

It's a laptop for one, and Left 4 Dead will run fine on ANY i3 processor, even one with the new integrated HD graphics, did you check out that video? It's not going to be spewing frames, but it's fine. Not everyone is as hardcore about this **** as you are.

im BC2 now. But if you think I am hardcore L4D2?

Some of my friends are. They counted all collectables and wrote scripts so when starting server, everything is layed out already in the place to play.
