    That's 300 quid... which is i7 cpu and ddr3 ram... :P lol!

(any cheapy watercooling solutions won't let you run 4GHz at decent temps)

I was tempted, because I can run 4.05... but the temps are sky high

Getting some money in a week... v. tempted to get an i7

Seems as though the min is more gpu limited... whereas average and max are held back by both our cpus...
Well, There are some nice P5Q Pro Turbos and GA-P45-UD3RL or whatever gigabyte boards across the street from me for $99 and $89 respectively, both are x16/x8 crossfire incase I ever want to add a 5850 down the line or something)(olll) so the board isn't the problem. I was thinking on that Corsair H50 watercooler though, it seems to do about a 5-10 degree better job cooling quads over the TRUE with two fans in push/pull, and it's only like $60. So about $150 ish total+tax......

On second thoughts, my minimum FPS is pretty damn awesome, 50+ is very acceptable to me. I might just say F it and be happy with what I have for now. If I encounter a game in the future where my minimum starts to get to 40 or 30 I'll move to i7 or i9 or whatever is new at the time. For BF3 maybe.

In the meanwhile I'll just put whatever funds I have to the side and save up for my next overhaul I think.

edit: Just realized I forgot to mention I'm using the 10.2s.....maybe I'll give the 10.3s a try and see if performance increases at all. Maybe I'm not limited afterall if so.

Yeah... go in to your documents -> bfbc2 folder -> open the ini file and set bloom to false

Still does not disable all bloom.

That does the same thing the UI option for BLOOM does.

I turned all my details and AF to max and shadows to low (no HBAO) DX9 and it runs soooo nicely.

I get ~80fps when i turn on HBAO . My settings are all set to high, 1920x1080, x8AA, x16AF. I didnt know the difference in fps would drop this much i guess ill turn it off.

There are bloom effects that seem to ignore that option.

Turning off this option certainly disables some of the bloom, but there are parts that seem... bloomy. Technically speaking, of course.
