One of my very favorite games of this generation is Mirror's Edge, which currently holds a 79-81 score on Metacritic.

You are correct about not playing the demo. I was downloading it when the whole psn time freak happend. I've had a PS3 for quite some time now so you're wrong about that one. My comment was more about getting upset that there were spoilers in a magazine for a game that's been out for years. Bioshock seems like a game you would like. I'm not sure what's taken you so long to get around playing it.

The PS3 version of Bioshock isn't that old, especially when many people (like me) buy some games when they reach the bargain bin. It's somewhat understandable if a magazine would reveal the story punchline of, say, Silent Hill 2, but this is not. I bet there are many who haven't played the 1st Uncharted/Mass Effect yet, and I bet those people would be pissed if either of their endings would be revealed in the sequel's review.

I just started Bioshock yesterday, eventhough I've yet to finish Dead Space and Heavy Rain, and I've liked it so far. Had my first encounter with a Big Daddy last night. [shocked]

Mountie's response to this whole debacle was level-headed and an intelligent counterpoint to this fiasco. However, I was reading Newsweek last night and stumbled upon a quote from an editorial that sums my response pretty well.

Crying bias is simply another way of saying "your opinion is not the same as mine."

Honestly, though, Mel, keep this NeoGAF sh!t in NeoGAF. I despise having to trudge through the immature cries of "bias" in every thread over there. It's unintelligent and seeks to only stoke a flame war that is fairly non-existent here.

I'm sorry, but this is just getting tiring. If I wanted to endure NeoGAF I'd go to NeoGAF and not FM. [xmaswink]

Why is this a shame? Maybe to the pixel counters and the OCD. God of War has always had the benefit of using a fixed camera. You're not going to find the camera flush against a wall texture, nor can you obsessively zoom in the camera to inspect a low resolution texture.

The focal point is going to be on Kratos and his enemies. I don't really care if a wall/pot/shrub is not going to look photorealistic. I'm just going to try to smash the thing to get red orbs out of it anyway. [xmaslaugh]

My whole point is that God of War is a fun action game. God of War 3 seems to carry the tradition of the first two, and that's all I need to hear.

Yup... it's a visual treat. It's the complete package deal... like Mass Effect 2. It has the gameplay, the sound, the visuals all working and firing on all cylinders. I do hope the story ends well... I'm about 3 hours into the game right now.
