Well, it seems this is a network problem, but crashing I find a bit extreme...

Try to run Memtest, just in case.

    Re: shattered horizon problem

guys, there is NO way a software issue can cause an instantaneous shutdown of a computer - what jarnis said is correct. an example of that would be if you shorted the 12V connector, etc.

I'd suspect the PSU, or possibly the mobo making contact with your case and shorting out, possibly a bad PCI-e power connector, etc.

If you want to see if the GPU is pulling too much power for the PSU to handle (even though that PSU should be fine spec-wise, there could be something wrong with it) try running furmark at the highest settings, highest resolution for your monitor, full screen stability test: http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

also, what's the temperature of your GPU when it's shutting down?

Hi thanks the reply`s,temperature 52c from the GFX card when shutdown happens.if it was a power issue then surely it would happen on others games as well.and why does it only happen in the server list?and the GFX card is only 2 weeks old and the psu is about 5 months old.MW2/1,DIRT2,CRYSIS all run fine.

I am going to try updating my firmware in my router and see what happens.

Open network connections and under router properties uncheck power off/on option.

    Yes under network connection.
Open properties on (via LAN) connection to the internet.
I'm not at home where win 7 is but I remember option that connection device can wake-up or shut down system. Uncheck that box (if checked)
