Get any Christmas shopping done yet?

If so, what did you get for who?

So far I just got my mom a few small things. Avon perfume, memory foam slippers and one of those oil of olay body wash kit things.
Today I am going to go to old navy and get my sister and her husband some nice shirts. (They dress so...uhm... 80's?)
As for my other sister, I think i'm going to get her sirius radio because she's always nagging that she hates listening to the radio and she doesn't have a cd player in her car.

Re: Get any Christmas shopping done yet?

Been trying for a week now to buy a birthday present for my brothers kid (they live in the US).

All we wanted was a US based toy website that will accept a NON-US credit card, so we don't have to ship a present from Europe.

    Impossible task it would seem.

I really don't understand why US companies are so retarted as not to accept non US credit card payments. I can use my credit card just fine across the whole entire rest of the world when online shopping - except the US.

Why not just transfer some money to their bank account and get them to pick it up? Or ring the store that runs the website and ask to do an over the phone transaction?

Because that would be so much easier than the site just accepting non US cards, like everywhere else in the world.

Looking for non made-in-china toys (issue of paints / chemicals etc). That cuts down the possiblities a bit unfortunately.

Did you try all our major retailers? Wal*mart, Meijer, Target etc?
