64bit system cause dramatic harddisk performance drop

I just set up a 64bit (winXP) and run PCmark05 to test its performance. To my surprise, my harddisk (the same one I used on a 32bit system) score dropped for about 9%.[thumbdown]

Any body encounter the same problem before? any clue?

Wild guess: XP 64bit drivers less mature. Unfortunately 64bit XP never really took off and the driver support is less than perfect.

Thanks, Jarnis, I am still blurred. and I found harddisk from different vendors have different behavior. some are no performance loss on 64bit, and some has the big loss I mentioned.
