FIFA 09 - Controls SUCK!

Dont have 09 on pc, but EA usually sort out the controls with a patch, on the other other hand, every year they break something so they can go on about how its now a new cool feature the year after.

Been playing fifa since WC98, I will only get fifa10 on the pc if it really is something special.

See if www.soccergaming .com is still there that was a great site for modding fifa and fixing it.

Fifa09 should be optimized for X360 controller. there's no reason why it shouldn't control exactly like the console version. Are you sure there isn't a calibration problem or something?

They are two totally different games on PC and Console. The Pc version is abysmal.

my point was: EA for several years now have used the x360 controller as the lead out control method. It's like years ago with the gravis game pad. They design with that controller in mind. Anyways, if any controller should work with Fifa on the PC, it's the x360 controller.

By the way, is the 360 controller a recommendable piece of hardware for the PC? I thought about getting a wireless one for GRID, and this one seems to be well designed but kinda large and heavy (at least from the pictures). My friends own mostly Wiis and PS3s, so I havent used a 360 controller so far.

Ha, so I found why I was having so much trouble... THE CONTROLLER WAS BROKEN! The LT and left stick were sticky and RT was sporatic at best. So I went up to my Gamestop 3 min away and got a brand new (yes, new) wired controller. It's so much better, and I can finally do all the freestyle moves now that the triggers work.

The 360 pad works wonderfully for GRID on PC, I've used it for months and months with that game.

I like the 360 controller, did ever use the smaller one for the old xbox? It's kind of like that. There are probably some local stores you could test one out at. Also, it doesn't feel heavy to me.

Thanks guys, just ordered one für 32€. Played GRID throught the whole last night with my friend (had to get up at 6 for work today, heh) and it was so much fun. He owns a Thrustmuster gamepad but it felt kinda "wrong". I couldnt put my finger on it, but the steering was odd, and drifting was impossible.

GRID is (in my opinion) the best arcade racer ever made! Okay, now back to Fifa 09.
