WOW, what an amazing day I have had. I got made permanent at my job after working there 6 months ( 3 as agency, then 3 with company ) I sell motorbike insurance and I actually love working there. Pay could be a bit better, but the people are brilliant. When they offered they said even though I was not the best there ( still good!! ) they loved how reliable I am, plus I work really hard and they said I improved alot since i started. I have never done sale before really, and it took some time to learn.
To top off my day, I did one of my best sales and it was not even my quote. Guy actually rang the wrong number by mistake and got through to us lol. Anyway I looked at his premium, and his best was like £144 inc legal. Well our best was £188 inc legal, so quite a way off. So I proceeded to sell him the benefits of the policy ( driving other bikes etc ) and he was biting. He also wanted to add another bike later, and the original quoted company does not do two bike policies. So next company quoting was £10 more, plus i checked and they do cover the other bike he may want to add later. In the end the guy went for it for £198+10% with direct debit. I was really happy and even the guy on the phone told me well done. I was really proud of myself.
My best premiums over the months though have been a £2000 premium+10% for direct debit with a £1000XS on a 125cc bike. It was only because the lad had loads of points, but nobody has sold one yet with an excess so highThe other one was an actual **** up by me.
The premium was £2000, and I made a mistake and put his daughter with a full instead of prov licence. It got found out a few weeks later, and made the premium £300 pound more, i managed to talk the guy round and he ended up paying and not cancelling.
Oh and I also have another interview lol working for Versign selling SSL with the directors. Bit scared, any tips? Money is another £10k OTE on what i already get.
