Nice to see the builds going in the direction we want. Faster!
Also interesting that the 32-bit version of Windows 7 beta was faster than 64-bit. The funny thing is I had Windows 7 32-bit on my old A64 compared to Windows 7 x64 on my new dual core rig and I must say Windows 7 felt snappier on the old system! Also the install was much longer for x64 compared to 32-bit.
Says random numbers between 1-6.
Riiiight.
I thought people around here had brains. These numbers mean nothing.
Show us some real world benchmarks rather than opinions.
PS. Windows 7 is perdy.
Nice. I am getting it now 7057 x64 bit version. 7000 build is buggy =S.
How does Burning DVD is better on one OS but not the other??![]()
Believe in the numbers! As silly as it may seem, they are absolutely correct.
The latest builds of 7 just get better and better overall.
Now I want to preorder it![]()
Seems XP will be ancient and slow when Windows 7 comes out officially. Can't wait, the faster it is the better I say[thumbup]. Features, custimizability and looks also play a role and Windows 7 has it all[thumbup]
It says
The scoring system that I use seems to have confused some readers. It’s actually very simple. We run each test for each OS in turn and the time taken to complete the task is noted (average of three runs). The fastest OS is given a score of 1, the runner ups 2, 3, 4, and respectively and the slowest OS scores a 6. The scores are added up and the OS with the lowest score (that is, the one that performed the best overall) at the end is the winner.Note: Why haven’t I just published raw benchmark results? Simple - it’s not allowed under the terms of the EULA.
